Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right plan for Climer Cards depends on several factors related to your specific needs and how you intend to use the tool.

Here are some considerations to help determine which plan might be right for you:

  1. Usage Frequency: Choose Basic for occasional use or Pro for regular use to save with an annual plan.
  2. Session Volume: Basic allows 3 active sessions, Pro allows 10. Pick based on how many groups you manage simultaneously.
  3. Features and Decks: If you need advanced decks and features, go for Pro.
  4. Customization: For custom decks and branding, consider the Team plan.
  5. Synchronous vs. Asynchronous: Pro is needed for asynchronous engagement.
  6. Reporting: Pro offers detailed PDF and Excel reports.
  7. Team Size: Team plan for up to 10 facilitators; larger teams might need an Enterprise solution.
  8. Budget: Basic is the most budget-friendly; reach out for discounts if you’re in education or a non-profit.

Evaluate your specific needs against these points to choose the best plan.

Yes! Our Basic, Pro, and Team plans all come with a free 30-day trial. This trial period allows you to test out the features and functionalities of the platform to determine if it meets your needs before committing to a subscription. During the trial, you can explore the different decks, set up sessions, and utilize the tool in your facilitation work to see how it enhances engagement and interaction among participants.

Annual billing comes with huge savings (up to 30%) because you are paying for one year of usage upfront. While, the monthly plan offers more flexibility for those that may only want to use the platform for a limited amount of time, or wish to start and stop their subscription as needed.

A facilitator refers to an individual who guides and manages group sessions, workshops, training, coaching, or any collaborative learning or development activities – while using the Climer Cards Platform.

While different plans have different limitations on the maximum number of Facilitators you can have – there are no limits on the number of participants that can take part in a Climer Cards Platform session.

However, we have found that when participants are in-person in the same location (e.g. during a keynote session), large groups (200+) who access the platform at the same time can cause it to be a bit slow.

An active session refers to a currently ongoing session that a facilitator has set up for a group or client. Each active session is associated with a unique URL, allowing participants to engage with the session’s content, such as responding to prompts, selecting cards, or participating in activities designed by the facilitator.

Once a session’s objectives are met or it is no longer needed, it can be archived, which means it’s no longer active or open for interaction, thus not counting towards the limit of active sessions allowed by the facilitator’s plan.

With the Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans, additional decks are included beyond the original Climer Cards set to provide a wider range of facilitation options.

These decks are designed to cater to various facilitation needs, from emotional literacy to decision-making and ideation.

Here’s a summary of the additional decks mentioned in the video:

  1. Climer Cards 2: 52 new images based on watercolor paintings by Amy Climer. These will be similar in concept to the Original Climer Cards, but with all new images.
  2. Emotions Deck: This deck includes over 50 cards, each representing a different emotion. It’s particularly useful for coaching, therapy, or any session where understanding and articulating feelings is important. The wide range of emotion words helps participants to be more specific about their feelings.
  3. Traffic Light Debrief Deck: This deck is structured around the concept of a traffic light (Red, Yellow, Green) and is ideal for reflection at the end of a session or activity. Participants can use it to identify what they want to start (Green), continue (Yellow), or stop (Red) doing in their personal or professional lives based on their learnings. This deck is great for teams using Agile and Scrum processes and doing Retrospectives or DevRetros.
  4. People and Technology Deck: Featuring images related to humans and technology, this deck can be used like the original Climer Cards for metaphorical interpretation or as an ideation tool to spark new ideas during brainstorming sessions.
  5. We Connect Deck: Created by Chad Littlefield, this deck includes 30 thoughtful questions designed to foster connections among participants. It can be used to prompt discussions in pairs or small groups, with participants either asking selected questions to others or answering them themselves.
  6. Changes Deck: Developed by Michael Dietrich Chastain, this deck focuses on seven areas of personal or professional change, symbolized by different icons (e.g., cognitive, heart, courage). It includes questions related to these areas, making it suitable for coaching, therapy, or team development sessions.

These additional decks enhance the versatility of Climer Cards, allowing facilitators to tailor their sessions to specific themes, objectives, or participant needs.

The synchronous and asynchronous options refer to how Climer Cards Platform sessions can be conducted in terms of timing and participant interaction.

Synchronous Option:

  • In synchronous sessions, participants engage with the session in real-time. This means that the facilitator and all participants are logged in and interacting with the session simultaneously, much like a live workshop or meeting.
  • This option requires the facilitator to be present and actively managing the session, guiding participants through the activities, and facilitating discussions based on the real-time responses and interactions.

Asynchronous Option:

  • Asynchronous sessions allow participants to engage with the session at different times, according to their own schedules. This does not require everyone to be online and participating at the same moment.
  • With this option, a facilitator can set up a session, share the unique URL with participants, and allow them to respond and interact with the session content independently. Later, the facilitator can review the responses and use them as a basis for future discussions, planning, or as a follow-up in subsequent synchronous sessions or meetings.
  • This option is particularly useful for homework assignments, pre-session activities, or follow-up reflections, allowing for flexibility in how and when participants contribute.

The Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans of Climer Cards include the ability to conduct both synchronous and asynchronous sessions, offering flexibility in how sessions are designed and facilitated to accommodate different group needs and logistical constraints.

Yes, the Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans allow facilitators to generate PDF and Excel reports from their sessions.

The report includes a breakdown of each prompt and the participant responses which includes their cards selections.

These reports are useful for sharing outcomes with clients, reviewing session insights, and analyzing participant engagement and responses. They can serve as a valuable tool for post-session debriefs, follow-ups, and for documenting the progress and outcomes of training, workshops, or coaching sessions.

Yes, with the Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans, you have the capability to create your own custom decks.

This feature allows you to tailor the content specifically to your facilitation needs, themes, or the preferences of your group or clients.

Here’s how you can create custom decks:

  1. Using Your Own Images: You can upload images, such as photos you’ve taken, drawings, or any visual content you have created or have the rights to use. This allows for a high degree of personalization and creativity in designing your deck.
  2. Selecting from Existing Cards: You also have the option to create a new deck by selecting from the existing cards within the app. This means you can curate a deck that fits a specific theme or objective by choosing relevant cards from the various available decks.

When creating custom decks, it’s important to ensure that you have the right to use the images you upload, respecting copyright laws and not using copyrighted material without permission.

Yes! The Team plan or higher allows you to customize the appearance of the platform to align with your brand or organization’s identity. You can replace the Climer Cards logo with your logo for decks that you upload.
